SAHM is short for Stay at Home MOM. When I was growing up, my mom was home. I always said that when I grew up I would be home, too, to raise my babies.

Well, the cost of living is so much higher now than when I was a kid.

It is VERY expensive to raise kids, have a mortgage or rent, drive a car, pay for lunches, buy Christmas presents...you name it, it's very expensive and most families need for both parents to work in order to survive.

That wasn't going to be an option for us. My husband and I decided before we had children that one of us would always be home. Wow! We had no idea how hard that was going to be!!!

So we sacrificed, penny pinched and lived within a very tight budget. But that got really old, really fast!

I loved being home with my kids but I was frustrated that they didn't get to do the things and have the things that I always dreamed they would have.

I also wanted so much more!

I wanted financial freedom!
