After chatting with Kari Andersen that day and looking at her website, I realized I seriously needed to get myself a life! I was tired of my life revolving around cleaning toilets, washing dishes, and laundry. I still have to do those things but now I am mixing it up with the fun of candle parties and holiday boutiques. I not only get to have "grown up" conversations but I get to dress like a "grown up" too! Not like the sweats I had been living in for 5 years!

I was really limited in cash flow to start up so I only signed up with the Candle of the Month kit and 50 catalogs. Each week, I placed a small order to build up my kit for Home Parties. In the first 10 weeks of selling, I did over $1500.00 in sales and the number keeps growing!! The orders keep coming in!! I have orders coming in over the phone, in email, and in person as I bring my son to preschool. I already have 3 parties and a fundraiser for an entire elementary school in January and the first week of February!

This Christmas, not only did I have some fabulous new friends AND candles, but I have my "own" money! I even shopped for my husband's Christmas gifts and he didn't have to pay for them!! What a great feeling! I also have some great gifts for my children's teachers, bus driver, babysitter, hard to shop for parents and in-laws and nice gifts to give out to the hostesses when I visit at the holidays!

And let's not forget the fact that the leaders are a big part of this business! None of this would be possible without her guidance!! What could you ask for in a team leader other than them being a friend already? And don't forget, we already share a love for similar reading material and candles! She is a personal cheerleader and a sounding board for ideas and thoughts. Kari Andersen is all of that and so much more!! She is always there to answer my millions of questions and when I do even the smallest of good things, she is my loudest cheerleader! After all, I can hear her across the country!!! I joined the Candle of the Month club a year ago not only because I loved the candles, but mostly because I loved the thrill of getting my package every month and wondering what the new scent would be.

The idea of joining a MLM company was the farthest thing from my mind because, like many of you, previous experience had taught me that it was very difficult, uncomfortable, and only profitable for a very elite few. And though I loved the MLM concept and potential, I vowed that it just wasn't for me.

That is, until I got to know my dear friend, Kari Andersen, and thought, "Wow, I'm actually going to personally know someone who has made it in MLM." Kari's success intrigued and motivated me to intensely watch, listen and research this candle company for months behind the scenes.

After about ten months on the sidelines it finally hit me... my oldest daughter, Alexa, is on a traveling basketball team that needs to raise money for tournament fees and I have the perfect avenue! So I approached her coach, booked my first fundraiser, and was officially in the game. The team sold just under 200 candles and plans to continue this fundraiser two or three times a year!

This first fundraiser was completed less than a month ago and already I've had someone call and order six more candles, plus another lady wants to join the COTM club and have candle parties!! Since then I've lined up a few more fundraisers and I'm beginning to build my team.

All of a sudden, my mind is flooded with ideas and real possibilities that will make true success in this business a reality. But what excites me the most is that I'm now able to truly visualize and believe that not only will I have an extremely close friend, Kari Andersen, with a successful MLM business, but I will also personally know someone else who has reached the pinnacle in MLM…ME!!"

I know I have already told you this, but you are truly "THE ONE" that I admire. I love your personality, your attitude, and your desire to achieve your goals and dreams. Again, I am thankful that I have people like you to look up to. I see that this business is real and that goals and dreams can be achieved if you set your mind to it and take the necessary single, daily action steps to achieve them.

I am a RN in a large ICU in Springfield, MO. Although I love being a nurse, I don't like the JOB part of it. I truly care about people and I want to help people get what they want in life. I am almost 25 years old and newly married. One of my goals is to be able to stay home with my children, if Jamie and I decide to have them. I see that it can be done and hearing your testimonial and training, helps me to put my desire and motivation in action to make it happen.

Matt and I would literally sit for hours some nights just throwing different ideas around, trying to figure out a way that I could stay home full-time with the kids and still help with the finances.

The more we talked about it, the more depressed I felt because we just weren't coming up with anything that seemed remotely do-able.

So, I got an evening job working 5 nights a week in order for us to avoid paying daycare expenses. It was good for our budget, but draining on our relationship because of our lack of time together. I was very depressed when I met you for the first time.

You walked up to me at a Kid's Festival and said, "You look like you need a candle." I, of course, was thinking...."Exactly how does one look when they need a candle?" But, I took the candle and thanked you, with gratitude.

And, I am NOT exaggerating when I say that that little act of kindness changed my life.

You see, this is what I have come to realize...there is so much more to gain from this business than financial independence.

The financial aspect is, of course, what brings us here. But, once we get here and we begin taking daily action steps...no matter how big or small they are....we will be successful, with success being measured in so many different ways. These are the just a few of the discoveries I have unveiled in 11 months time:

1. Amazing friendships/partnerships that are continually developing, within the company as well as outside - through the introduction of the candles.

2. Self-esteem - This one is HUGE for me. After being in a verbally abusive relationship for 10 years and not believing in myself, I am now developing the strength to know that I am completely capable of owning my own business and being successful in that!

3. Stronger relationships with my children and husband I feel this stems directly from my new passion for life and LOVING what I do in my business.

4. Less fear of rejection and failure - Goes hand in hand with self-esteem. When I first started, I couldn't stand it when someone would say "no". Plus, I constantly thought, "what if I fail?" Through your tremendous encouragement on a personal and business level, I know that it is impossible to fail. I fall down, I get up. Falling down is not failure.

Now, by no means does that mean I am ready to stop pushing myself to do better and continue to grow. Personal growth should never stop. And, from time to time, I still hear those negative tapes playing in my head.

BUT, we all have them....it's just a matter of knowing what to do with them and putting them on the shelf where they belong. Thanks Kari Andersen for empowering me and helping me to learn! This has truly been one of the happiest, most revealing years of my life!

Well, gee whiz, I thought I was going to sell at least 4 candles but ended up selling 5!! Yahoo!!

Then when I got home there was a message from a gal that I had given some samples and brochure to. And then, I had a call from a business here in town and they wanted my Delivery Business flyer, so I took it over to them with brochures and samples and everyone was so excited about the candles. Around here most people live paycheck to paycheck, so come pay day, I should make some more sales. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

So, that was yesterday!!! Today I had 7 candles left from my 12, and I really wanted to sell some more. Well, I stopped at a restaurant where I was to pick up orders for candles. I got the orders, but I brought the 7 candles in with me and sold 4 more!!! So, now I have 3 left and I am thinking that I will get these sold this week-end.

You know, there is really no selling involved with these candles. I just let them smell away to their heart's content and they want them. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this business, it is all I think about. I think of different ways to sell them, I think of ways to do fundraisers, it just goes on and on with me.

I told Kari Andersen that this is the first time that I have been in a network marketing company that actually wants you to sell the product, there are no secrets, it is just up-front and honest.

I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would be my own boss. But, we all know how things change in life and I will never, ever, work for someone else!!

I hope this inspires some of you out there and I hope everyone has FUN selling these candles. Cuz if you ain't havin' no fun, you are missin' out!!!

I just have to tell you about an amazing girl - Cheryl Hill from Laurel, MT.

Cheryl lives a couple hours away from me and had a booth at a Day Spa Extravaganza in a mall this last Saturday. When I heard that she was going to work the booth by herself from 10-4, I knew that my son, Arie, and I needed to travel there to help her.

You see, Cheryl is 9 MONTHS PREGNANT!!!! She is due anytime. She also has a 2 year old!!

When I got there, she had the most adorable booth set up and was ready to go.

She never once complained or "pooped" out. She kept smiling and greeting people all day long. She put candles under noses and handed out over a 100 catalogs.

People were commenting on how great our customer service was and how amazing Cheryl was to be running a booth and selling candles in "her condition." LOL!!!

But she is that way ALL THE TIME!! She never calls me complaining that she is too busy or tired to work her business because of her pregnancy or 2 year old. She uses her children as her "WHY" instead of her excuse!!

So proud of you, Cheryl!!!!!

I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT THE BEST LEADER IN THIS COMPANY!

As all of you know Kari Andersen always goes above and beyond in all she does with her business. From the moment I told her about the spa day her first words were "I am coming to help you build your business!" She was there with her wonderful smile and motivation to sell and smell.

She herself never complained about driving 2 hours from Bozeman early in the morning to get there and stay all day. We were busy the entire day and boy was it a blast! Come to think of it she didn't even stop to get anything for lunch, she just sucked down a big coffee and was on the go all day.

I do have to add that Arie was a great big help as well. It was a pleasure to see that guy at work! Kari Andersen has a great secret weapon in that young salesman!

I am so blessed to have Kari Andersen as my sponsor and I have learned so much from her already, but to see her in action that day was a great learning experience!

Even though I am 9 months pregnant it never crossed my mind while selling with Kari Andersen for she is the best motivation to smell and sell! We are so lucky to have her as an example in the Business!
